Action for
Leather Integrated Cooperation
The main aim
of ACTION- L.IN.C., a project under Article 6, is to design and implement an age
management strategy that focuses on the application of innovative HR management
techniques to SMEs in a traditional sector such as leather production and manufacturing, a sector characterized by an
aged workforce that lacks new skills. The project focuses on the importance of
the dissemination of the project’s results, at national and international
level, as well as the activation of employers and trade unions, which are not
still aware of the need, urgency or indeed the benefits of active ageing
policies. Transnational co-operation between similar organisations in Greece,
Italy, Portugal and Spain, will foster the sharing and exchange of new ideas
and innovative approaches beyond local, national and cultural boundaries, will
promote further innovation and produce more effective outcomes and will ensure
the best possible dissemination of the project’s results at European level.
The project
activities include the following:
§
Field researches.
§
Design of an innovative age management strategy.
§
Design and delivery of specific tailor-made training
programmes for older workers.
§
Transnational cooperation with the
support of project participants directly involved in the support &
development of Small and Medium Enterprises (i.e. EOMMEX, ELKEDE, etc).
§
A public awareness campaign in order to change age
discrimination perceptions.
§
Dissemination and mainstreaming.
